Hastings County Reaches New Collective Agreement with CUPE Local 1133

Belleville, ON – Hastings County is pleased to announce that a collective bargaining settlement has been reached with Canadian Union of Public Employees and its Local 1133 for the period of January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2027.


“This agreement reflects a fair and respectful process that supports the needs of both the County and our valued employees,” stated Warden Bob Mullin. “We appreciate the commitment shown by all parties in reaching a solution that supports continued quality service delivery for the residents in our Long-term Care Homes.”  


Agreement Highlights:
•    Wage increases: 3.5% annually over three years
•    Enhancements to employee benefits
•    Increase of $0.10 per hour to shift and weekend premiums


“This settlement is an example of what can be achieved through open dialogue and strong labor relations,” added Warden Mullin. “I want to thank everyone at the bargaining table for working together to reach a fair and balanced outcome.”
